If you’re not the one then why does my soul feel glad today
If you’re not the one then why does my hand fit yours this way
If you are not mine then why does your heart return my call
If you are not mine would I have the strength to stand at all
I never know what the future brings
But I know you are here with me now
We’ll make it through
And I hope you are the one I share my life with
I don’t want to run away but I can’t take it, I don’t understand
If I’m not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am
Is there any way that I can stay in your arms
If I don’t need you then why am I crying on my bed
If I don’t need you then why does your name resound in my head
If you’re not for me then why does this distance maim my life
If you’re not for me then why do I dream of you as my wife
I don’t know why you’re so far away
But I know that this much is true
We’ll make it through
And I hope you are the one I share my life with
And I wish that you could be the one I die with
And I pray in you’re the one I build my home with
I hope I love you all my life
I don’t want to run away but I can’t take it, I don’t understand
If I’m not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am
Is there any way that I can stay in your arms
‘Cause I miss you, body and soul so strong that it takes my breath away
And I breathe you into my heart and pray for the strength to stand today
‘Cause I love you, whether it’s wrong or right
And though I can’t be with you tonight
And know my heart is by your side
I don’t want to run away but I can’t take it, I don’t understand
If I’m not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am
Is there any way that I can stay in your arms

Denial, something people always do when they truly love someone, don’t they? Such a lovely song that can truly melt people’s hearts. Still, I have to face the fact that as much as I want to love someone, I can’t feel that emotion for anyone at all
Guess the week’s over now. The one week without much worries, free from serious stress, free from what’s been prisoning us. So I repeat once again, EXAMS ARE OFFICIALLY OVER DOUCHEBAGS PEOPLE!!!
So Monday after Chinese papers and PW meeting, I headed back home to pack up, have a bath, then head down to Pasir Ris MRT station with…lets see…my bag, a big packet of charcoal and some miscellaneous stuffs I carried along. Then I met Gabriel, Julia, Deborah and Edna at the MRT station, where we waited for the Aloha Loyang coach at the taxi stand. When we arrived, we waited for I think more than an hour for the rest to return to the chalet, and finally we were let in, and settled in our rooms before James and I quickly set up our game consoles without any hesitation.
Gabe and I went over to help start the fire, and it was pretty successful, with Siyuan’s help as well of course. Then the cooking began, and I kinda went off to slack a little. The whole night was rather eventful. Besides BBQ and console time, we got to have some ‘horror stories’ and games going on in our guys’ room (which girls were inside too). We played 24, silent heart attack, asshole daidee, tried to teach people how to play bridge. For the whole night, there were at least two people up. At around 1am, a few of us (Zhenluan, Jolene, Yongsheng, Melvin, me) felt bored and decided to have our ‘nightwalk’, and we headed down to Downtown East on foot. We accidentally took the longer route to get there, and perhaps it was a blessing in disguise? Stayed there and chilled for quite a long while before it was 4+ am and we decided to have breakfast. Then while we were having breakfast, it started pouring heavily. We had no choice but to hail a cab, and squeezed 5 of us in a single cab. Just our luck. Then we got back into the chalet, safe and sound.
The 4 of 5 of us went to sleep, and can you imagine 5 people (guys and girls) squeezing on 2 single beds attached? That’s what happened. Poor Yongsheng was trapped between Jolene and me, both of us gave him a bad morning sleep.
Woke up and went to the pool with Gabriel and James, where we did all sorts of nonsense there. We played with the slide, we soaked in the jacuzzi pool, we swam everywhere, we splashed water at the girls, basically just nonsense. Then I headed back while the two went back to get some tanning oil and spent their time tanning away.
So in the afternoon, we went down to Downtown East to play in the arcade, and well, we spent the money in our cards pretty fast. Gabe showed everyone how he can moove to the groove with his DDR steps, Yongsheng amused everyone with his para para, while Yuhan and Edna broke the all time record by thrashing the basketball machine. We went to the soft toy grabbing place, and we played with the machines. Then, lady luck was smiling at us for a few minutes. James tried his luck with one LGM, and voila, he caught it! Then I decided to try my luck with one LGM, and POOF, I caught it!!! Jolene asked me to catch one for her, so I just anyhow try to catch it…and man, it almost fell off, but the hooks grabbed it tightly by the waist and there it goes into the hole!!! Siyuan wanted to try her luck too, so she got me to try to grab one for her, and there it goes…and we caught yet another LGM. Our luck ended there though. We left happy with 4 LGMs on our hands.
Headed down to Tampines for lunch, while Gabe, James and I tried to find a LAN shop. Apparently, the building where the LAN shop used to be was gone, for some developmental project, so we ended up returning to the chalet instead. We got to go cycling with the girls after that, where we cycled to the Pasir Ris Park fitness area with the big spiderweb and stuffs, then we cycled to White Sands for a break, before heading back to the chalet, where the guys just randomly jumped into the pool again. We managed to dunk Yuhan without her knowing, and Edna jumped in while Amanda ran away.
So back at chalet, we spent pretty much time playing the consoles again, while cooking a little. We headed to the pool at night, where we were chased out by the security guard like half an hour or so later. We had our bath and went back for supper, before we played some games and went to sleep.
While waking at at 5+ am to find my handphone, I woke Gabe up, who realised that my Nintendo Wii was missing from the living room. We tried to go everywhere to find suspects, and ended up at the guardhouse, where the guards told us to report to the police. Soon another guard gave us the police post number, and the police arrived not long later to take photos and our statement, while trying to find suspects. It appeared that there was also a voyeur in the vicinity. So after the police left, we packed up our stuffs and went Downtown East for breakfast before heading home.
Friday school was boring, apart from the little humour from the Farewell Assembly and the Open House preparation.
So yesterday was Open House. It was quite a blast I would say, and the response was good for the HnF pull-up challenge, the record being 27 for students by a guy from SJI, and Mr Teo Y T setting a teachers’ record of 28. Thank you everyone who responded to HnF, and special thanks to Xiaomei and Marcus for turning up!
