Prehistoric Battle Part 2

Posted by `jiehao on April 14, 2008

I was going to the toilet to brush my teeth last night, only to realise that I was stepping on something on my left leg. Suspicious, I had a feeling that I stepped on a cockroach, which I apparently did (I saw the squashed insects when I lifted up my legs)

I saw the bugger struggling due to its crushed abdomen, so I took the pesticide to spray it, and it struggled more. So I took out the shower hose, turned on the tap and tried to flush it down the drain, only to realise the drain hole wasn’t open.

I tried to drown it with water but to no avail, so I just left it there alone…wonder how it’s doing now…

Good Charlotte – Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous

Posted by `jiehao on April 12, 2008

Always see it on t.v.
Read it in the magazines
Celebrities who want sympathy
All they do is piss and moan
Inside the rolling stone
Talking about how hard life can be

I’d like to see them spend the week
Living life out on the street
I don’t think they would survive
If they could spend a day or two
Of being in someone else’s shoes
I think they’d stumble and they’d fall
(fall)

Lifestyles of the rich and the famous
They’re always complaning
Always complaning
If money is such a problem
Well they got mansions
Think we should rob them

Well did you know when you were claiming she could kill your wife
But there’s no such thing as 25 to life
As long as you’ve got the cash, to pay for Cochren
And did you know if you were caught and you were smoking crack
McDonalds wouldn’t even want to take it back
You could always just run for mayor, of D.C.

I’d like to see them spend a week
Living life out on the street
I don’t think they would survive
If they could spend a day or two
Of being in someone else’s shoes
I think they’d stumble and they’d fall
They would fall

Lifestyles of the rich and the famous
They’re always complaining
Always complaining
If money is such a problem
Well they got mansions
Think we should rob them

Lifestyles of the rich and the famous
They’re always complaining
Always complaining
If money is such a problem
You got so many problems
Think I could solve them

Lifestyles of the rich and famous
We’ll take your clothes, cash cards, and homes just stop complaining
Lifestyles of the rich and famous
Lifestyles of the rich and famous
Lifestyles of the rich and famous

GC’s point is…famous people claim to be tired of being famous, sick of it, but they don’t think of the poor folks out there. Self-righteousness eh?

Damn the tests next week…econs essay test and bio test…I think that JC’s life being such a bitch. And this week has been an especially low week for me, though I realise I’ve been feeling down for no good reasons. Hormonal changes? Don’t know.

But there have been some things to be glad about. Like how we showed the S35 spirit in basketball this week, and how Edmund and me made an all time record for running, our record that is. Other than that, this week’s been a pretty normal week.

Well, I don’t know whether to be happy or sad about my PW results. But I know people who are really sad about theirs, so no complains. Perhaps I’m just one of those who really take things in my stride. And whoever gave those shop messages to our whole class really did it at the right time, and it’s really sweet of them to do that.

So, end of the week, with two tests to study for…DIEEEEEEEE…

———

Here’s something which happened during Bio lecture. Because Melvin, James and I were really early for lecture, so we found a ’sorang’ guy in lecture who was spastic…

iPod, iTouch, iPhone, iSang

Sorang guy going beserk

Buckcherry – Sorry

Posted by `jiehao on April 6, 2008

Oh I had alot to say
Was thinking on my time away
I missed you and things weren’t the same
‘Cause everything inside it never comes out right
And when I see you cry it makes me wanna die

I’m sorry I’m bad, I’m sorry you’re blue
I’m sorry about all the things I said to you
And I know I can’t take it back
I love how you kiss, I love all your sounds
And baby the way you make my world go ’round
And I just wanted to say, I’m sorry

This time I think I’m to blame
It’s harder to get through the days
We get older and blame turns to shame
‘Cause everything inside it never comes out right
And when I see you cry it makes me wanna die

I’m sorry I’m bad, I’m sorry you’re blue
I’m sorry about all the things I said to you
And I know I can’t take it back
I love how you kiss, I love all your sounds
And baby the way you make my world go ’round
And I just wanted to say, I’m sorry

Every single day I think about how we came all this way
The sleepless nights and the tears you cried
It’s never too late to make it right
Oh yeah sorry

I’m sorry I’m bad, I’m sorry you’re blue
I’m sorry about all the things I said to you
And I know I can’t take it back
I love how you kiss, I love all your sounds
And baby the way you make my world go ’round
And I just wanted to say, I’m sorry
I’m sorry baby
I’m sorry baby, yeah
I’m sorry

It just seems too late for him to say that…

Anyway…WordPress just changed their layout, which I’m not exactly familiar with…but nevermind about that for now.

This week was well, a slightly different but still boring week. Cheers to the April Fools’ committee for the job well done on Monday and Tuesday.

We stayed back till pretty late on Monday to get all the decor and stuffs done. I would say we pretty much procrastinated a lot in Parkway, before we actually got back to get our act together. It was like when we went back to school, many people were just heading home. We done up whatever decor we need to, like the spiderweb, the toilet, the arrangements in the canteen, the big umbreallas. Thank you security uncle for being so patient with us, and thanks RECO, Camille and Jia Hao for staying back with us to help us decorate. By the time we left, it was 11.

Tuesday was kinda the time for us to laugh at everything we done and watching people falling into our traps. It’s just that some of the pranks didn’t get through that well. But at least the hall thingy was humourous enough.

On Wednesday, we unofficially declared frisbee as HNF’s new pet sport…at least for the weeks to come!

That’s all for this…seemingly similar week to my other weeks to come, apart from Monday and Tuesday that is…life’s getting mundane…

Disclaimer: Please do not take whatever I typed down here seriously, it’s just a random thought.

While being optimistic, I have came up with an impossible solution to rid the very problems we want to solve in our world now. Global warming, destruction of forests, overpopulation, limited resources, there’s only one way to solve this. That is, the mass genocide of half the population of every country.

Why half of each country? I believe it would be unfair to say who’s the one truly doing all the damage, the developed, developing or under-developing countries. Just half the population of every country and it would be better.

What will you get out of this genocide you ask? An economic slowdown of course. When there’s an economic slowdown, markets crash, or maybe a new market will re-emerge. Why is this a good thing you ask? Because people will start using lesser resources. The renewable resources (or so we thought they were) such as our forests will have time to replenish, and we can slow down or even reverse the depletion of our non-renewable resources. Carbon emissions will decrease drastically. The thought of it makes you drool doesn’t it?

While this sounds very ideal, like most economical concepts, there’s the problems of carrying out. I guess the greatest problem would be, who will belong to the half to be exterminated, and the other half to be survive? (As far as I’m concerned, I’m willing to sacrifice for the greater good) It’s obviously so difficult to define WHO SHOULD BE IN WHICH HALF. Besides, there are bound to be statistical errors, especially in the developing and under-developing nations, as they have no proper registration system to track their population. What happens if we under-kill or over-kill?

Next, this is not a guaranteed measure to use. What if in their compliance, the remaining half the population starts to cosume more and the result may be the same or worst. How are we going to justify that. Besides, supply will then exceed demand, and what good will that do. For example, what are you going to do with all the unused cars in the parking lots? Turn them into scrap metal? There will be a greater headache for the living (maybe that’s why it’s better being the dead half).

While killing half the population (which sums to about 3.3 billion), won’t it return some day too?

Anyway, I believe that the earth is bound for wiping out some day or another, so why not be optimistic about the destruction? Astrologists believe that there are lifeforms on Mars. What I believe is that there WERE lifeforms on Mars, only to be destroyed later on by it’s own inhabitants. I believe that other planets had lifeforms before us, starting from Neptune, perhaps many BYA (billion years ago), when our sun was still young. it was destroyed when the sun was growing, and the rays would not reach that far to warm the planet. Soon it will be our earth, and venus would then have lifeforms.

In conclusion, should we carry out a mass genocide of half the world population? Like all economics questions, the answer is, it depends. Depends on what…too many things for me to type out now…as I’ve got tutorials to rush!!! So I might continue another day if I have the time to.

Once again, do not take this seriously. I don’t want to be labelled as a dangerous citizen and get locked up.
